Description

In 1924, fleeing fascist power, part of the family left Fruttero Piedmont in Italy, heading south to the Perigord in the Dordogne. Using their knowledge of a very old winemaking tradition, production was increased and restructured over four generations. Today there are three partners, working on a 40‑hectare vineyard farm in the heart of the Perigord between Bergerac and Eymet, a famous country house. In the years preceding World II, the Vergneau / Sargenton family bought the Cabanes estate at auction, near Lot‑et‑Garonne. (image purely illustrative)
