The bottles of vintage wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Wine Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always strives to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands and regions that, by nature, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we want to emphasize that wine is a living organism that, even when sealed in a bottle, is subject to different evolutions over time. Consequently, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, which helps release its natural aromas after many years of being sealed. If you choose to decant before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an old wine tends to produce. (Illustrative image only)
