According to its age, the wines may show marks left by time, such as dust residues on the bottles and/or some damage to the labels, a common occurrence in wines that have been stored for decades. The National Cellar is obliged to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity but always chooses to maintain the visual appearance inherent to their age. We usually select brands/regions that typically perform well in old wine tastings. However, wine is a living organism that, like others, is exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas are subject to different evolutions. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open and let the bottle air out beforehand, as this will help release the natural aromas after so many years closed.
