A blend of 86% Semillon and 14% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2015 Rieussec displays a bright, pale straw‑gold color. It offers remarkable purity and depth, with notes of lemon marmalade, orange blossoms, beeswax, and acacia honey, plus hints of peach compote. Very elegant and fine on the palate, with earthy and citrus layers, finishing long and spicy. The 93 hectares of the Château Rieussec vineyard lie at the junction of Fargues and Sauternes, adjacent to Château d'Yquem. This location enables the production of fine, elegant Sauternes wines, raising Rieussec to the level of the most important estates in Sauternes and Barsac.
