Château Suduiraut, Premier Cru Classé in 1855, is one of the historic châteaux of Sauternes. A rigorous selection, both in the vineyard and in the cellars, ensures the production of the Château Suduiraut wines, which represent the successful expression of this exceptional terroir. Certified High Environmental Value, the estate comprises 91 hectares of vineyards on clay-sandy soil, whose stones capture the heat of the sun and allow the grapes to reach maturity more quickly. The carefully chosen proportions of grape varieties are decisive to the unique profile of the wines. 90% of the grape varieties in the Suduiraut vineyards are Sémillon and 10% are Sauvignon Blanc. Sémillon is a traditional variety of the region and, when affected by noble rot, its structure on the palate is broad, bringing a great deal of richness and sweetness to the wine. Sauvignon Blanc is full of citrus, white peach and exotic fruit aromas, giving the blend a touch of acidity, ensuring freshness and aromatic complexity.
