The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar is required to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We carry out a selection of brands/regions that, by nature, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of vintage wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, its aromas are subject to different evolutions. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure you do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which, as a rule, an old wine tends to develop. (Illustrative image only)
