This Clandestino, from Quinta da Teixuga, is a deliciously intriguing wine. Blending Merlot and Syrah, nurtured at 420 metres and aged for eight years, it certainly doesn’t play by the rules. Expect ripe red fruit aromas, a hint of dark chocolate, and a whisper of pepper, beautifully balanced by the Merlot’s elegance and refreshing mineral notes. A truly rewarding experience, particularly delightful with a baked cod or a light cheese.
