This wine announces itself with the full force of the Alentejo – a wonderfully assertive Alicante Bouschet at the helm. Expect a rush of dark berry and prune flavours, clearly driven, yet tempered by a lovely, smoothing influence from oak ageing. Those firm tannins speak volumes about the quality of the soil, but thankfully give way to a surprisingly refreshing finish, lingering delightfully with a memorable warmth. Seriously, this would be fantastic with a hearty venison stew.
