This Conde de Guião Reserva certainly wasn’t shy about letting itself age – it’s brimming with a vibrant ruby colour hinting at the richness to come. The nose is packed with intensely ripe black fruit, a beautiful expression of Touriga Nacional blended with Tinta Roriz, as you’d expect. It boasts a generous body and remarkably smooth tannins, almost as if the wine has wholeheartedly embraced the oak. A long, persistent finish would pair wonderfully with a good grilling of beef. A truly respected wine, unmistakably from the Douro Valley.
