This “Contraste” from the Douro certainly seems to have decided to embrace the drama, doesn’t it? Built around Touriga Nacional and the consistently elegant Touriga Francesa, it promises an intensity that won’t exactly be understated. The Códega brings a touch of rustic tradition, while the Arinto provides a vibrant acidity – almost a cheeky challenge. And the Aragonez adds body, balanced out by a refreshing Rabigato. Seriously, this would be fantastic with a proper, hearty roast – a wine with enough presence to really hold its own.
