More than 50 years tell the story of the Portalegre Cooperative Winery, a winery that, over time, accumulated knowledge and experience and wisely combined its vines’ unique location with the work of the Iniciom. It was in 1954 that a group of people organized to turn the grapes of founding members and associates into wine. Taking advantage of the excellent location of the vineyards on the slopes of the Serra de S. Mamede, the first great Alentejo wines were born. (illustrative image)
