Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes, with the ambition of introducing the world to Portuguese wines and a long‑term vision grounded in the quality of the wines sold, the novelty of the brands, and the presentation of its products. Today led by the third generation of the founding family, Sogrape Vinhos increasingly fulfills the objective set at its inception: to be a family‑run company with an international outlook, focused on producing quality wines, innovation, and developing Portuguese brands of global stature. The company manages roughly 830 hectares of vineyards across Portugal. Casa Ferreirinha and its wines have long been synonymous with time and art. This tradition dates back to its 18th‑century founding by Bernardo Ferreira, whose formula was refined by his descendants, especially his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, who was affectionately known as “Ferreirinha” or “Ferreirinha‑da‑Régua” by the people of her region. Under Dona Antónia’s stewardship—having twice been widowed yet steering a substantial enterprise—Ferreira established herself admirably. Her entrepreneurial spirit taught her to anticipate, decide, create, teach, and love, making her a figure of great influence and charisma. (image only illustrative)
