Cortes do Reguengo Branco is produced from the Rabigato and Gouveio grape varieties, hand‑picked and fermented in 500‑liter barrels, after which it is aged for nine months. The result is a bright yellow wine that offers rich, complex aromas, elevating and balancing floral notes with the smoky character of the wood. The Quinta do Reguengo is located in the Douro Superior sub‑region, along the Douro River in Pocinho, Vila Nova de Foz Côa. The estate is characterised by clay‑chalky soils with granite outcrops. These soils, combined with varied altitudes, exposures, and grape varieties, are influenced by warm, humid winds from the Douro valley and cooler breezes from Spain, creating excellent conditions for regular grape ripening. Enology is handled by Pedro Branco, who is also the driving force behind the Família Silva Branco wines. (illustrative image)
