Located on the right bank of the Douro River, between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto is a property encompassing about 130 hectares, 70 of which are planted with vines. The estate also includes Quinta do Querindelo, with 10 hectares of Vinha Velha, and Quinta da Cabreira in the Upper Douro, boasting 114 hectares of vineyards. With a prime location in the Demarcated Region of the Douro, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by Leonor and Jorge Roquette’s family for more than a century. As with many of the great Douro estates, the origins of Quinta do Crasto date back to ancient times – the name “Crasto” derives from the Latin *castrum*, meaning Roman fort.
