The estate’s portfolio also includes Quinta do Querindelo, with 10 hectares of Vinha Velha, and Quinta da Cabreira in the Upper Douro, covering 114 hectares of vines. With a privileged position in the Demarcated Region of the Douro, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by Leonor and Jorge Roquette for over a century. As is typical with the great quintas of the Douro, the origin of Quinta do Crasto dates back to long-ago times—the name “Crasto” derives from the Latin *castrum*, meaning Roman fort.
