Located on the right bank of the Douro River, between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto spans about 130 ha, 70 of which are planted with vines. The estate’s portfolio also includes Quinta do Querindelo, with 10 ha of Vinha Velha, and Quinta da Cabreira in the Upper Douro, covering 114 ha of vineyards. With a privileged position in the Demarcated Region of the Douro, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for over a century. As is common with the great quintas of the Douro, its origins date back to long ago – the name “Crasto” derives from the Latin *castrum*, meaning Roman fort. (illustrative image only)
