This is one of the most affordable wines from Aurelio Feo’s cellar and was awarded the title of best red wine from Bierzo in the latest Tim Atkin report for its excellent value. It comes from vines averaging 60 years old, and after a brief period in oak it delivers a nose full of bright red fruit with spice nuances; on the palate it is fluid yet structured, with a persistent finish. A perfect pairing for one of the region’s classic dishes: the botillo.
