Description

On Pico Island, in 1995, Curral Atlântis emerged as the result of a partnership between Jorge Bohm and Manuel Faria. With just 3 hectares of vineyard, they launched an experimental field with 24 grape varieties, aiming to revive ancient cultivars such as Verdelho and Arinto of the Azores. Supported by the University of Évora and winemaker Paulo Laureano, they crafted new wines and captured markets. Today, under the Faria family, Curral Atlântis spans 42 hectares of vineyard, producing a diverse range of wines that showcase Azorean quality, marked by Atlantic influence and volcanic terroir.
