Curral Atlântis Vinha do Avô was produced from the grapes Arinto dos Açores, Boal, and Verdelho. It offers an elegant aroma that blends fruity notes with salty nuances. On the palate it is balanced and creamy, featuring citrus acidity and a dazzling salty finish. Born on Pico Island in 1995 from the partnership of Jorge Bohm and Manuel Faria, the venture began with 3 hectares of vineyards and an experimental field of 24 grape varieties aimed at reviving old cultivars such as Verdelho and Arinto dos Açores. With support from the University of Évora and winemaker Paulo Laureano, new wines were crafted and markets were conquered. Today, still under the Faria family, Curral Atlântis spans 42 hectares of vineyards, producing a diverse range of wines that exemplify Azorean quality, shaped by Atlantic influence and volcanic terroir.
