CV Curriculum Vitae The 2018/2019 vintage was marked by significant temperature fluctuations and annual rainfall that fell below normal levels, making 2019 a dry year. Initial climatic conditions caused a slight advance of the vegetative cycle compared to the average of the previous five years, but this early progression slowed down as the season progressed. Despite high rainfall in April, the subsequent climate evolution helped ensure excellent plant health of the clusters at harvest. Harvest generally began at the end of September and continued slightly longer than the previous year, thanks to favorable September and October weather. Occasional rainfall during harvest had a positive impact on ripening, as the healthy clusters allowed the winemakers to wait for optimal grape maturity. The harvest produced high‑quality musts, typically with higher acidity, lower alcohol content, and a good level of phenolic compounds. The white grape harvest took place between 6 a.m. and September 16, 2019. The vineyard that gives rise to CV – Curriculum Vitae Douro Branco is over 80 years old and is located in the northeastern part of the Douro at an average altitude of 480 m, which allows for the production of fresher wines. The single vineyard uses a field blend of varieties such as Rabigato, Samarrinho, Donzelinho Branco, Viosinho, and Códega, among others. All grapes are selected before being destemmed and gently crushed by a pneumatic press. The first must is decanted for 24 hours at 10 °C in 2,500‑litre stainless‑steel vats. It is then transferred to carefully selected French oak barrels (225 L and 500 L) for fermentation lasting over 25 days at controlled temperatures between 10 °C and 14 °C. The wine ages in the same barrels for more than eight months, with periodic bâtonnage. Bottling date: July 2020 (1,688 × 750 ml + 100 × Magnums). It has excellent bottle‑aging potential and develops intriguing characteristics over time. Allergen information: Contains sulfites. SKU: 106748
