Description

CV Curriculum Vitae When we think of nature, we think of all the ways it awakens our senses. Nature is alive, in constant motion and evolution—something we neither control nor intend to control. Wines created by nature reflect the unique characteristics of their origin. They have their own life in the bottle, evolving over time. Bottling this natural expression is what makes the art of winemaking truly fascinating. **Climatic Conditions** The 2021/2022 viticultural cycle produced grapes of exceptional health. It was a year of minimal vineyard interventions, focusing on restoring soil balance, especially in the older vineyards of Murça and Vale do Rio Torto—the cradle of CV Curriculum Vitae. The regenerative viticulture practices of Van Zellers & Co, centered on soil and biodiversity promotion, have shown consistent results, both in grape quality and ecosystem vitality, evidenced by increased fauna, notably birds. Harvest began on 26 August with the white varieties Códega and Arinto. The grapes exhibited excellent quality. **Vinification** The vineyard that gives rise to CV – Curriculum Vitae Douro Branco is over 80 years old and located in the northeast of the Douro, at an average altitude of 480 m, allowing the production of fresher wines. The grapes are carefully selected, destemmed, and slightly pressed in a pneumatic press. The must is decanted for 24 hours at 10 °C in 2,500‑liter stainless‑steel tanks, then transferred to French oak barrels (225  and 500  liters), where it ferments for more than 25 days at controlled temperatures between 10 °C and 14 °C. The wine ages in the same barrels for over 8 months, with bâtonnage (lees stirring). **Bottling** August 2023 **Winemaking** Cristiano van Zeller & Joana Pinhão **Food Pairing** Oven‑baked fish dishes, seafood risotto, poultry, or creamy cheeses **Technical Information** - Region: Douro - Soil: Slate - pH: 3.02 - Volatile acidity: 0.5 g dm⁻³ - Total acidity: 7.0 g dm⁻³ - Total SO₂: 75 mg dm⁻³ - Total sugars: 1.3 g dm⁻³ **Awards** - 94+/100 – Robert Parker - 93/100 – Wine Enthusiast **Allergen Information** Contains sulfites. **SKU:** 106747
