This D’Avillez Garrafeira is a delightful surprise – a burst of freshness that, frankly, I wasn’t anticipating. The palate’s cleanliness and the harmony of the aromas, featuring vibrant notes of herbs and perfectly ripe cherries and blackberries, are truly remarkable. It’s a refined, complex wine with an expressiveness reminiscent of the top Alentejo wines, recently lauded at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Wonderful with grilled beef or a fine duck breast.
