This Domaine Berthet Bondet Chardonnay has clearly spent a *very* long time with the oak – two years, in fact, wrestling beneath a generous 228L oak barrel. It’s delightfully unpolished, wouldn’t you agree? The result is a wine with a wonderfully contemplative character, perhaps even a touch of Jurassic melancholy. Pairs beautifully with a good Comté and a deep dive into the history of the Jura region.
