This Puligny-Montrachet, grown on those slopes where the Chardonnay practically whispers secrets, has been matured with a rather audacious touch – a flirtation with new French and Austrian oak barrels, no more than 15% to be exact. The aim was to beautifully balance the wine’s characteristic minerality with a wonderfully surprising lightness. Fermented with natural yeasts and beneficial bacteria, this wine clearly possesses the complexity that earned it a coveted 1er Cru status – a testament to the Bohrmann family’s dedication to meticulous control, and one that pairs exceptionally well with fresh seafood.
