This Don Pablo from the Douro is a seriously decadent experience – it feels like it’s straight from a fruit compote. The deep amber colour hints at the richness to come, with prominent notes of cooked apples and dried flowers. It’s surprisingly sweet, lingering with a smooth, enveloping sensation, almost like a custard tart with fruit. Absolutely brilliant with fresh cheeses or caramelized figs.
