This Dona Graça Cão feels like it’s spent some serious time arguing in an old granite mill. The winemaking is wonderfully restrained, truly capturing the spirit of the Douro with its largely mechanical process and the Tinto Cão’s inherent robustness. Twelve months in oak barrels have added a touch of elegance, but thankfully haven't sacrificed its unique character. Absolutely brilliant with grilled beef or a perfectly roasted suckling pig – a classic pairing, really.
