Dr. Loosen is a wine producer in the surroundings of Bernkastel, in the Mosel region of Germany. Led by the charismatic wineman Ernst "Ernie" Loosen, the company is one of Germany's most famous Riesling producers and has won numerous awards for many of its wines, such as the Dr. L. Riesling. Ernie Loosen, who has been at the helm since 1988, was Decanter's Wine Man of the Year in 2005 and is regarded as one of the most influential winemakers in the world.
