Duas Famílias Very Old Tawny is made from Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta da Barca, Tinto Cão and Tinta Francisca, whose grapes are bathed in the direct influence of the Serra do Marão climate. It is produced in vats with foot‑crushing, aged for a long period in barrels, and presents an amber colour with greenish reflections. On the nose it offers intense notes of coffee, dried figs and hazelnuts, while on the palate it delivers a softness, balanced acidity, dried‑fruit and compote flavours, and a slight buttery finish. A Santos & Seixo is a family company run by two families, Alzira dos Santos and Pedro Seixo, who dreamed of reviving their family histories and dedicating themselves fully to wine. Their dream became reality with the first harvests in the Douro and Alentejo in 2010. The project has grown and today the family owns estates and produces wines in the Douro, Alentejo and Vinho Verde regions. Combining modern and traditional methods—from meticulous grape selection to oak‑barrel ageing—all processes are carried out to preserve the grape’s genuineness.
