Two winemakers who have shaped Portugal’s wine history over the last decades, coming from two regions that the world recognises for their high quality and distinctive character – the Douro and the Alentejo – reunite in a project conceived for the Douro, specifically in the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior areas, two exceptional and protected terroirs. Thus Duorum is born, a dream‑project realised in the millennial vineyards of the Douro. Duorum Vinhos began its activities in January 2007, reflecting the desire of João Portugal Ramos and José Maria Soares Franco to combine their professional winemaking careers into a project producing Douro wines with unique characteristics and international stature.
