This “Encontro da Bairrada” – a name that suggests a rather convivial meeting, I imagine – clearly has a penchant for a seriously good grilled beef. Not the Spanish kind, thankfully, but the kind you’d find on a decent menu. It’s a wine that demands attention, best enjoyed with a companion and perhaps, as a final flourish, a creamy goat cheese.
