This wine is crafted from Baga, Alfrocheiro, and Touriga Nacional grapes harvested on slopes overlooking the Castle of Penela. After a traditional vinification process and six months of ageing in oak barrels, it displays a rich, violet‑tinged colour and a highly aromatic profile, emphasising fruit notes, a wine‑like perfume, and delicacy. On the palate it is equally fruity, persistent and lively, thanks to its acidity and tannic richness. Produced on the southwest‑facing Criveira slope with a stunning view of the castle, these wines reflect the ingenuity and artistry of the people of Terras de Sicó, marrying tradition with modern oenological techniques while honouring the deep history that surrounds them. The wines originate from the Beira Altlântico region, where predominantly clay‑silicate soils impart an incredible freshness to the grapes.
