Quinta das Bágeiras is vinified from an open‑top press, with the must placed in small 1 m³ decanters where it remains for 24 to 36 hours to allow natural precipitation. At the end of this process the must is transferred to stainless‑steel tanks where it ferments, with temperature controlled by chilled water. Here we aim for a base wine with a slightly higher alcohol content while keeping high acidity. The base wine is sparkling, normally in March of the following year, and in the case of the Super Reserva it ages 24 months in the cellar before disgorgement. It is a traditional method sparkling wine, bottle‑fermented, with riddling done by hand on wooden racks. Being a natural brut, it has no added sugar in the dosage. **Prémios** 18/20 – Grandes Escolhas 17/20 – Revista de Vinho
