Crafted with a meticulous selection of the finest Antão Vaz and Arinto grapes and aged for six months in barrels, this wine presents a yellow hue with golden lees. It opens with tropical fruit and citrus aromas, followed by hints of vanilla and spice. On the palate it is creamy, with balanced acidity and caramel nuances that add complexity and gastronomic potential. The company, Sociedade Agrícola de Pias, founded in 1973 by José Veiga Margaça, began as the first brand of bulk and large-bottle wines under the name “Margaça”, named after its founder who was known for his social interactions with the people of Pias and all those who worked with the company—customers, suppliers, and friends. The cellar quickly became known as “A Adega do Margaça” due to José Veiga Margaça’s unique business dynamism and personality. With the launch of his second brand “Encostas do Enxoé” in 1988, which was universally recognized as a wine of enviable quality, it marked a major milestone and the start of bottled wine sales. Over the years, new brands reflecting different categories and profiles were created, along with new strategies. (Illustrative image)
