This Costas do Sobral Tardia has clearly been indulging in a little honey-soaked daydream. The late harvest, utilising Arinto, Códega and Fernão Pires, has resulted in a truly elegant balance of sweetness and acidity – as noted by a discerning wine publication. Hints of honey and orange blossom are a testament to this careful over-ripening, while the schistous terroir and oak aging (French oak and acacia wood) add a subtle complexity. It’s a wonderfully harmonious wine, ideally paired with aged cheeses or dried fruits.
