Esporão was born in the Alentejo from an unshakeable desire to make the best wines. This motivation is the legacy behind all its wines and the main reason it has expanded into other products and territories. The Esporão estate, situated in the heart of Alentejo in Reguengos de Monsaraz, offers unique agricultural conditions – wide diurnal temperature swings, poor and varied soils, and extraordinary biodiversity that help produce in harmony with the environment. With around 702 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and other crops nurtured by a Biological Production Method, it now cultivates roughly 40 grape varieties, four olive types, as well as orchards and vegetable gardens.
