This Bairrada sparkling wine, born from the ambition of 700 growers – a legacy of the Adega Cooperativa de Cantanhede since 1954 – is a serious statement of intent, primarily driven by the distinctive Baga grape. It’s no surprise then that Baga accounts for 30-40% of the region’s production, firmly establishing the Adega as a sales leader within the Bairrada DOC. Notably, their efforts were rewarded in 2023 with the Grande Prémio Nacional de Espumantes, and it’s a wine wonderfully suited to fresh seafood or a well-curated cheese board.
