Ferradosa Douro Branco showcases the unique and distinctive character of the region, where we found vines that seem to express the Douro we know. These vineyards are over 70 years old, featuring several grape varieties and displaying the true old vines of the Douro. The vines are primarily planted on granite soils, with a small percentage on schist soils. The grapes are destemmed and slightly crushed in a pneumatic press; the resulting must is decanted into 2,500‑liter stainless‑steel tanks for 24 hours at 10 °C, then transferred to new, one‑year‑old French oak barrels of 225 liters. There, the wine ferments for 25 days at controlled temperatures between 10 °C and 14 °C. It spends about eight months aging in those barrels, with bâtonnage. Allergen information Contains sulfites.
