Filipa Pato embodies the old saying “a fish’s child knows how to swim.” Though she followed in her father Luís Pato’s footsteps— even in his academic training— Filipa always wanted her own world, her own project, where she could showcase her ideas and take the reins herself. The 2001 harvest—a superb year for Bairrada—provided the foundation for all this.
