Description

This "Missão" from Luis Pato is a genuine obsession – a wine born from a vineyard dating back over a century, where the vines have apparently had a few chats with the Jurassic period. Produced in limited quantities (30 magnuns and 500 bottles), it’s clearly not a mass-produced affair, but rather a passionate tribute to the Baga grape. Expect vibrant aromas of violet and young strawberries, hinting at the intense energy within. With careful cellaring of 7-9 years, the wine develops remarkable concentration and supple tannins, culminating in a delightfully lingering finish – a touch playfully rebellious, as they say. Best enjoyed with a nice grilled fish or braised rabbit to fully appreciate its layered complexity.
