This Florião, boasting a bold selection of Alfrocheiro, Trincadeira and a touch of Syrah, certainly exudes confidence. Initial aromas immediately evoke the Alentejo’s distinctive landscape – pine and eucalyptus are prominent, with a hint of rose perhaps adding a delicate complexity. The winemaker clearly aimed for maximum extraction, meticulously controlling the maceration. On the palate, it’s remarkably fresh and vibrant, with wild berry notes elegantly intertwined with warming spices like clove and nutmeg – as if the chef himself joined the fermentation!
