This Florbela from the Dão is a delightfully surprising wine, reflecting the care taken in its harvest. The hand-picked grapes, gathered in 20kg boxes, offer a wonderfully balanced mouthfeel, with ripe blackcurrant and raspberry notes intertwined with a subtle spice complexity. Stainless steel aging has beautifully preserved the purity of the Jaén, Aragonez, and Touriga Nacional grapes – a truly elegant expression of the Dão. It would pair wonderfully with a slow-roasted duck or a creamy kid in white.
