This 2018 Fonseca Guimarães is a tale of resilience – a vintage that certainly threw a few curveballs. Following a particularly harsh, dry year punctuated by hail, the grape harvest was hanging by a thread. Thankfully, March brought the life-saving rains of the Pinhão region, allowing for a balanced ripening and deeply coloured grapes with a remarkable freshness, a testament to sheer determination.
