Foral de Évora is a white wine that pays tribute to the region's long winemaking tradition, evoking the Foral (royal charter) granted to the city by King Manuel I in 1501 and expressing the identity of Évora's terroir. Straw-green in colour, it offers an elegant and understated aroma, with notes of white fruit, citrus, dried herbs and mineral nuances of flint and phosphorus. On the palate it is full-bodied and structured, with ripe fruit and balanced acidity, finishing long with a distinctive vegetal character. A Cartuxa is a winemaking estate linked to the Fundação Eugénio de Almeida, established in 1963 with a mission of cultural, social and educational development in the Évora region. The production of wines and olive oils from Adega e Lagar Cartuxa forms the foundation that finances these projects, uniting agricultural tradition with a strong social commitment.
