There’s a truly charming elegance here, reminiscent of a grandmother’s vineyard. A subtle balsamic lift and violets add a welcome complexity, driven by the characteristic structure of the Aragonez and the legacy of the ‘Vinhas Velhas’ vines. On the palate, you’ll find incredibly well-integrated tannins, a hallmark of ‘Vinhas Velhas’, and a finish that practically begs for a hearty beef roast, perhaps with a touch of mushrooms, to really round out the flavour profile.
