Description

Framingham Pinot Noir leans toward a more “feminine” style, showcasing grace and charm with strongly varietal flavours and a good amount of structure to add interest. **Vinification** The fruit comes from four sites in the Wairau Valley, representing a mix of clones. Each plot was hand‑harvested and vinified separately; the proportion of whole bunches and the duration of skin contact varied by plot. Overall, the wine contains about 10 % whole bunches, an average of 20 days of skin contact, and was aged in French oak barrels for 10 months, roughly 20 % of which were new. It is bottled without stabilisation or filtration. **Region**: Marlborough **Sub‑regions**: Conders Bend, Southern Valleys, Waihopai **Vintners**: Dry Hills, West View, Lawrence, Eversley **Vine age**: Up to 20 years **Soil type**: Predominantly clay
