Description

The vineyards of the Fundação Abreu Callado, all planted near Benavila, date back to the mid‑1950s, and some of those pioneering grape varieties are still in production today. They cover roughly 52 hectares of loamy‑sandy soils, benefitting from the mild climate provided by the Maranhão Dam, which is reflected in the quality and excellence of the wines. Also situated in Benavila, the winery maintains traditional winemaking and aging methods alongside modern techniques, and has the capacity to store two to three consecutive harvests.
