Born in the Bairrada, between the foothills of the Buçaco Mountains and the sea, Giz is a wine that uniquely expresses the character of its calcareous soils. It comes from centuries‑old vines grown on poor, stony ground, and is produced from native grape varieties with minimal intervention both in the vineyard and in the cellar. After an artisanal vinification, the wine rests for eight months in French oak barrels, yielding an unmasked, authentic, structured, elegant and complex nectar, full of individuality and character.
