The Gizruptivo Pinot Noir is an author's red wine produced in Bairrada, between the foothills of the Buçaco Range and the Atlantic, which seeks to explore a singular interpretation of the Pinot Noir grape. Produced under the IG Beira Atlântico designation, it stems from a minimal-intervention approach, aiming to preserve the expression of the region's limestone and stony soils. After artisanal vinification, the wine matures for 8 months in French oak barrels. It shows an open ruby colour. On the nose it is simultaneously floral and earthy, evolving into an expression of delicate fruit, with notes of raspberry and wild strawberry, accompanied by a hint of mint. On the palate it is very fluid, with silky tannins and well-integrated oak. Flavours of sour morello cherry emerge, along with a subtle earthy note that becomes apparent throughout the tasting. On the finish, the fruit returns and lingers on the palate, underlined by a pronounced sense of freshness. Produced in a very limited edition of just 483 bottles, the Gizruptivo Pinot Noir defies convention and champions creative freedom and the singular expression of each vintage.
