This Glen Carlou Chardonnay certainly has a mischievous side – it seems to have embarked on a rather eccentric journey. The fermentation, split between new French oak and a Nomblot quartzite egg, creates a truly complex and distinctive character. The oak lends subtle notes of vanilla, beautifully balancing the vibrant white fruit. A wine of considerable richness and pronounced minerality, ideally paired with grilled white fish and a squeeze of lemon – a classic combination, really.
