The Gloria Reynolds Cathedral is the most exclusive wine from this producer, released only in years of exceptional harvests and crafted with the Alicante Bouschet and Trincadeira varieties. This red wine shows a very dark red colour and offers an intense, complex aroma of black chocolate, forest floor, plum, coffee and cola, with hints of dried fruit, mint and tobacco. On the palate it is full‑bodied and silky, with a rich black fruit character and an explosive, complex and very persistent finish. Reynolds Wine Growers traces its roots back to 1820, when Thomas Reynolds settled in Estremoz, Portugal. With 40 hectares of vines on the hills, patriarch Robert consolidated the production of quality wines. The vines are grown on slate soil, which provides excellent drainage and sunlight. Near the National Park of the Serras de São Mamede, the setting – full of hills and olive trees – is the perfect backdrop. The cellar, situated in the middle of the vineyard, reflects the commitment to special grapes, resulting in wines that are practically sulfite‑free, of long durability, and bearing Vegan certification.
